Thursday . . . .

I should have posted this one yesterday under "cards I love" because this is my favorite this week.
I didn't mask the image before stamping - I just stamped right over it. I stamped in crumb cake first, and then the flower (with StazOn). Since I was using a blender pen to color the flower image and the image under it was in a light ink (crumb cake), I didn't worry about masking. I think it turned out beautiful and it was quick and easy.

Tuesday Tip . . . .

This is a very simple card. I happen to like simple cards but sometimes it feels too simple. The trick to remedy this issue is to add a simple little detail on the inside of the card. By doing this you tie the whole card together and it shows that all the simplicity was part of the overall design. At least that is how I am selling it ...LOL!

Scrapbooking Sunday

A simple page. I colored the "paper" to match colors found in the grass and on Joel's swimsuit. Stitching adds a bit of interest as does the journaling.

Scrapbooking Sunday. . . .

This is not the most beautiful scrapbook page ever made...not even close. But it is for exactly this reason that I love my scrapbooks. I help host scrapbooking retreats for a group of friends every year. The most difficult part for me is hearing complaints about a retreat that I have worked hard to make enjoyable. I do this for my friends, not as my job. So, when someone mentioned having a pity pot at a retreat, where people can put in their complaints and they are then read at meal time. I thought this is a brilliant way to be playful and folks can still voice a complaint. It worked like a charm and proved to be a great source of entertainment for us as well. I love these pages!

Paper is a preview of Pocketful of Posies DSP in the new catalog, title made with non-SU letters, I used the 2 step bird punch on both pages.
