Wednesday... Thank You and frequent buyer tokens

I made 24 of these little cards and 80+ of the tokens. These are for my ladies in my online card club. My first one comes to a close this month. I wanted to say thank you to all of them for taking a chance on this idea with me. We have had a great time and I am so appreciative of them for going through this first one with me. Some of you have earned a free stamp set or are close to it with your frequent buyer tokens!

A new online card club starts in August. We have 5 spots open in our last group. Email me if you are interested.

Mojo Monday #201

I am not having any mojo today.... finally at the 7 o'clock hour I re-made a card I did this weekend that has entertained me...

and here is the inspiration...

This card front was CASED from M. Zindorf. The sentiment is a quote from Alice, my friend Elaine's daughter. LOL!
The sentiment on the Mojo card is a quote from the Wizard of Oz.

Scrapbooking Sunday -Traditional

I have a bit of a mistake on this page -but I am okay with imperfect pages. I originally stamped the image with versamark and clear embossed the Just Believe stamp but it ended up invisable. I was wanting a very subtle background image. I went over it with Not Quite Navy ink and it is better but you will notice the left hand side is a bit messed up.

I used:
Country Club Simply Scrappin' #122371, Just Believe Stamp Set #120453, Not Quite Navy Ink #103008, Not Quite Navy taffeta ribbon #122978, Naturals White CS #102316

Trending Tuesday #1

Next month is my 1 year anniversary of being a demonstrator, and it marks one year of committed daily blogging. I thought it would be good to add something new this year.
My first new addition to Joan's Daily STAMPede is Trending Tuesday. I will attempt to re-create a card I see in a current magazine and do it using only SU! I can't always promise a video will accompany the card, but I will do my best.

Scrapbooking Sunday. . . .

This page may earn me the bad mother award. My baby had a kindergarten graduation and I didn't go. I have always been of the belief that a kinder graduation is a bit silly. My oldest didn't attend kindergarten because he was home schooled. My daughter attended the local public school which doesn't have a graduation because the school is for grades pre-K, K, 1st & 2nd....even 2nd grade doesn't have a graduation. So I thought it was a bit strange to have a kindergarten graduation. My husband attended and when Joel and Daddy walked through the door loaded with metals, trophies, and certificates, I knew I had missed a moment in Joel's life. It was nice that daddy got to be the parent to take it all in. Here is the page I made to remember Joel's "Big" day.

TGIF.....

I saw a card similar to this but it wasn't using any SU products. It was so cute and I thought it would be easy to re-create using all SU! One thing I would do differently.... I would use craft ink to give the stamped image a really bright and bold look. I am still pleased with the way it turned out, but I would like the image to be bolder.

Paper: Crumb Cake CS #120953, Basic Black CS #121045, Patterns DSP Brights #117155, Very Vanilla CS #101650

Thursday . . . .

Can you believe I have never used watercolor paper? Like most everything else, I have been too cheap to try it. I like to use what I have and I didn't see a need to purchase special paper. Oh, I can be a silly fool sometimes. I have been itching to color more but my time has been limited. This past weekend I took my time and did something I have wanted to do. In my quest for achieving that rich color & coloring that I see with copics, I pulled out some watercolor paper and used my dry aquapainter technique. I am pleased with the results.

I am planning to change things up on the blog. Try to bring in a regular thing to each day. Maybe I will have a coloring day that will feature all the different ways to color using SU. You might get bored with the dry aquapainter technique, but I personally use it a lot.

I used:
Paper: Basic Black CS #121045, Pumpkin Pie CS #105117, Garden Green CS #102584, Patterns DSP Stack Brights #117155, Watercolor Paper #122959

Wednesday - Cards I Love. . . .

I copied this card from someone on the net. She had a stack of blue papers that were straight edges. I decided to round the corners on one end and take out a bit on the other to make it look like a stack of books -but you don't need to. I also grounded the stack by using my dry aquapainter and some crumb cake ink. This is the Summer of reading for me. I have gone through 1-2 books a week since school let out. I think this card is charming. You could make it in your favorite color. I can see myself creating a few of these to send to my favorite people.

I used:
Paper: DSP stack #hostess nla, Naturals Ivory CS #101849
Ink: Crumb Cake #121030
Other: Poly stitched ribbon #119265, aquapainter #103954, Stamping Sponges #101610
