Tuesday Tip . . . .

Even though I will be showing a lot of Valentine cards in the coming weeks, remember you can take inspiration from any card and change it to suit your needs. If you like a card, ask yourself what you like about it? Is it the colors, the layout, the details? Once you figure out what you are responding to, you can create any card you will love.
In the card above I really like the sewing detail, the red and vanilla contrast, and the definition stamp. You will most likely see this sort of card base again, only the circle will be different.

I used:
Paper: Real Red CS #102482, Very Vanilla CS #101650, Baja Breeze CS #111352, In Color DSP pack #hostess
Stamps: Valentine Defined #123057
Ink: Crumb Cake #120967, Pear Pizzazz #119801, Real Red #100052
Other: Pear Pizzazz Poly Stitched Ribbon #119265, sewing

I love the stitching you add to cards. Do you typically leave a white/off white thread in the top or bobbin of your machine, or do you change out?

I am a bit lazy when it comes to changing thread. What is in there is off-white thread and the bobbin has brown -LOL! The bobbin thread isn't seen so I figure it doesn't matter. Lazy, I tell you!

i actually like the idea of a brown in the bobbin...because it's visible on the interior of the card, i like that the darker color isn't visually detracting from sentiments or writing on the right sight of the inside of the card.

you are brilliant.
