ColourQ #128

Sign up to follow my blog and leave me a comment telling me something you like about my blog and something you would like to see more of!
I will put all of the followers with comments into a random drawing for the blog candy.
Be sure you are following my blog and have left a comment (what you like/what you want to see more of) between Friday, March 16 and Thursday, March 22.
I will announce the winner on Friday, March 23rd!

That is a lot of green for one card. My favorite color is green.
I have an order for sympathy cards that I am trying to fill this week.
So, it was an extra challenge to come up with a sympathy card with just green.
I ended up making this twice because I used the marker directly to shade on my first version.
The gray was too strong.
On this version I used an aquapainter to get a softer gray.
I like the results.
Supplies:
  • Garden Green CS, Wild Wasabi CS, Certainly Celery CS, Naturals White CS
  • Growing Green, Blessings from Heaven
  • Going Gray Marker, Garden Green Marker, Wild Wasabi Marker, Certainly Celery Marker
  • Paper Snips, Dimensionals, Decorative Label Punch, Certainly Celery Taffeta Ribbon, Aquapainter

I really love the color in this card. It looks so complex. I agree that sympathy cards are so hard to do. I love dropping by your blog to see what you have created. I love your interpretations as well.TFS

Very nice Joanie. Love the shading and the green. I keep eyeing this stamp set thinking...hm...now you've shown me yet again a cool use.

Also hadn't realized that I hadn't signed up as a follower since I did sign up to follow by email. Following you now though. As for what I like or want to see...you have a wonderful mix of format. Love the tutorials, videos and general share of projects you have here. Very helpful when you share the dimensions and tips for what you tried that worked or didn't too as you did on this post. Love the clean style of your posts and wouldn't change a thing. Looking forward to more and more from a favorite blogger. Thanks for the opportunity to participate in the stellar blog candy.
