Tuesday Tip

Today's tip is. . . . every once in a while make a card with just one color and a neutral. This kind of card isn't easy for me. I like my bright colors and printed DSPs. For this one I am really using 2 neutrals -River Rock and Black.  I like the way it turned out. I think the key is to have enough detail in the card to add interest. Try it!

My friend Jeanne really likes river rock so this card was inspired by Jeanne!

I used:
Paper: Basic Black CS #121045, River Rock CS #108640, Patterns DSP Stack Neutrals #117157
Stamps: Just Believe #120453
Ink: Versamark #102283, StazOn Black #101406
Other: Black Embossing Powder #109133, Oval Punch #119855, Mat Pack #105826, Ribbon and brads non-SU

This is very pretty! Is the sentiment mounted on 2 black ovals, or is there a shadow from a dimensional? Either way, I like it!

Two black ovals - you have such an eye for detail, my friend.

Thanks so much for posting these. I was up against the wall trying to find some inspiration to do some cards. These worked out wonderfully!

Simply lovely. I really like the stamped image in black ink. It makes a beautiful silhouette.

This is gorgeous. Thanks for dedicating it to me. You are right I LOVE RIVER ROCK. So much that I painted my bathroom that color and I'm thinking of using it elsewhere in the house too.
