Technique Thursday

I am not the best at sewing on cards. I love the look of it but unless you are an experienced seamstress or have practiced on your cards, it isn't easy to get it just right.
So why, do you ask, am I featuring this as a technique?
Because sometimes the lack of skill can work in your favor!
The sewing on this card is supposed to be wonky. It works for the image.

My son started junior high this year so I found myself in need of some boy cards that weren't so darn cute. LOL! This is what I came up with.
Look for another boy card tomorrow.

I used:
Stamps: Extreme Elements #115181, Extreme Dirt Bike #115175
Paper: Soft Suede CS #115318, Very Vanilla CS #101650, Crushed Curry (retired), DSP (retired)
Ink: Soft Suede #115657, Chocolate Chip Marker #100071, Garden Green #102272, Crushed Curry(retired)
Other: Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder #117335, Dimentionals #104430

I continue to be amazed at your skillzzz at fussy cutting! The stitching adds so much to the card, also. Did you do anything special with tension or needle? Did you you the presser foot or go with free motion?

Showed this one to my DH. The first thing he said was, "She cut that out by hand?" lol

I am totally impressed. And I love everything about this card. I haven't tried to sew on paper yet, but I really want to. Do it a few more times and I may work up the nerve. :)
