Freshly Made Sketches #47

I have had an idea for this card for some time but just didn't have the right details figured out yet
And then I saw this sketch and thought it would be a perfect fit!
Don't you love it when that happens?

I used the new paper piercing tools to outline the card base and the main panel.
I like the subtle detail but thought it needed just a little something more..

I stamped the steam for the beverage but it was getting lost on the First Edition DSP
So I punched a hole in every other stamped dot.
I love the way it turned out.
Squeeeee!
It is a happy card day :-)

I wouldn't have thought to use those paper packs together, but it turned out great. Like reading the paper with a cup of coffee in the morning. :) I love the way the paper piercing looks with every other hole piercd.

Hi Joan - I was just looking at the sketch and thought "Hmmmm... that new cocoa mug stamp and framelit would be perfect for this sketch". Then as I'm paging down the entries yours caught my eye right away. Isn't amazing how two people who don't even know each other can have idea? Anyway I absolutely love what you've done with this. I would not have thought to use the newsprint paper and the paper piercing on the steam is just a fabulous idea.
