Scrapbooking Sunday. . . .

This is not the most beautiful scrapbook page ever made...not even close. But it is for exactly this reason that I love my scrapbooks. I help host scrapbooking retreats for a group of friends every year. The most difficult part for me is hearing complaints about a retreat that I have worked hard to make enjoyable. I do this for my friends, not as my job. So, when someone mentioned having a pity pot at a retreat, where people can put in their complaints and they are then read at meal time. I thought this is a brilliant way to be playful and folks can still voice a complaint. It worked like a charm and proved to be a great source of entertainment for us as well. I love these pages!

Paper is a preview of Pocketful of Posies DSP in the new catalog, title made with non-SU letters, I used the 2 step bird punch on both pages.

Technique Thursday

Isn't this card cute? It was copied from some other clever person out there in card making land. They had used the woodgrain background stamp, which I do not own, so I used this dsp instead. The technique is using the 2-step bird punch to create the wreath. Just punch a bunch of branches and glue them together. I added bits from my cropadile to create the berries. I think this card is so cute!

I used:
Paper: Early Espresso CS #119686, Woodland Walk DSP #117389, Old Olive CS #100702, Cherry Cobbler CS #119685
Other: 2-step bird punch #117191, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon #120992, non-SU brad

Thanks for stopping by and looking!  Leave a comment and make my day :-)
