Wednesday - Cards I love

This card is a bit of a departure for me. I seldom use flowers. I like the look of these with the Newsprint DSP. I used the stamp from Vintage Vogue set and stamped in versamark on the newsprint. I added clear embossing powder and heat set. I added a bit of ink to the exposed areas and wiped clean from the embossed area with a baby wipe.

Sometimes it is good to step our of our comfort zone and try something new.

I used:
Paper: Very Vanilla CS #101650, Love Letter DSP #117162, Newsprint DSP #117166
Stamps: Vintage Vogue #118598, All Holidays #114916
Ink: Cherry Cobbler Marker #119681, Early Espresso Marker #119680
Other: Early Espresso Ribbon #119753, Linen Thread #104199

Thanks for stopping by and looking! Leave me a comment and make my day :-)

Tuesday Tip

Today's tip won't be much of a tip for some of you, but for those of you that don't like things wonky and adore symmetry, it may just change your life (just kidding).
I had this card I wanted to copy but I needed a diagonally striped paper with multiple colors. I didn't have any that would work. Besides I really wanted to use Elegant Soiree DSP. Then like a flash of lightening it hit me, I could make my own diagonally striped paper by simply cutting my striped paper on a diagonal.
I did say in the beginning of this post, this wouldn't be much of a tip for some of you ;-)
Anyway, I gave myself permission to cut the paper wonky and make it work for what I needed.
I spent way too much time on this card, so it isn't a favorite but it turned out okay.

I used:
Paper: Very Vanilla CS #101650, Soft Suede CS #115318, Elegant Soiree DSP #117163,
Stamps: All Holidays #114916, Punch Potpourri #hostess
Ink: Soft Suede #120973, Baja Breeze #120965, Not Quite Navy #100059
Other: Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon #109071, Boho Blossom Punch #119858
