Use It Up! Friday...

On Wednesday, I told you about stumbling onto Teneale's blog, and the AMAZING work she does...
I CASED a card, just to see if I could do it.
In addition to creating beautiful cards, she finishes the inside as if it were a card front!
I didn't do it for the card on Wednesday, but when I saw this one, I just had to.
I got a new pack of my all-time favorite DSP from the clearance rack...
Pulled out one of my favorite retired stamp sets that I just can't part with....
and went to town!

This is the inside of the card

These cards are not for the faint of heart.
That spool of thread was stamped 3 different times and cut out from two types of paper
in order to get that cool looking spool.
It was fun to do, but not everyday. :-)

I think I found her blog by using google images. I will type "Stampin UP, Love Letters DSP" or something like that, and you will get images.
I am a visual person so, I will often search this way.
This week I am on the lookout for home decor projects.
Not just decor elements, but other things to do with our products to add a little something to the home.
Wish me luck!!

Wednesday - Cards I Love. . . .

I overlooked this paper pack for some time. I just love the cheery, retro feel of the color combinations. I challenge you to look at the Designer Series Paper from a new perspective. Look at the ones you have never paid attention to, and see if there is something there you could use. I got stuck because this was designed to work with the build a bear items. I never considered it since I don't really care for the build a bear line. Silly me. This paper is FAB!

Wednesday - Cards I Love. . . .

I CASE'd this card. Do you blame me? It is so cute! I don't recall the name of the gal that created it, but I did read her very clever trick for the measuring tape....... she cut a strip from grid paper and inked it with so saffron. It worked like a charm. I did the tape measure a day ahead just to make sure the ink was absorbed and dry. Dars, couldn't help but think of you when I made this one.

Wednesday - Cards I Love. . . .

This is the week of ribbon ruching. Most of the cards I have made for the week have ribbon roching. I tried it with seam binding, taffeta, satin, and even poly stitched! It was fun to do. I will do a technique video soon -just in case you haven't tried this yet for yourself. I really like the way it looks.

Tuesday ....

There is nothing fancy or difficult about this particular card. But for me I love what this card "allowed" me to do. See that orange paper in the background? I could not for the life of me figure out how I was going to use it. I was determined to use it because of my love for the fabric brads <3
Anyway, the layout of this card really allows the maker to play with patterned paper without it having to be such a focal point or color.
I am very pleased with this little cutie card! :-)

Wednesday - Cards I Love. . . .

I love this card. I love this stamp set. My one complaint is that SU didn't include any cute, punny, sentiments. They name the set Sew Suite and don't include 3 or 4 punny sentiments. So, I am forced to computer generate my own. I love the way this one turned out. Both images were fussy cut and one was popped up on dimentionals.

I used:
Paper: Wild Wasabi CS #108641, Basic Black CS #121045, Sweet Stitches DSP #121781, Whisper White CS #100730
