Freshly Made Sketches #50

I have something to admit...
I am in a funk.
My blog is in transition to moving to a new site.
I am feeling a bit overwhelmed with all I should do right now.
So much so, that I don't want to do any of it. I just want to be a mom and wife.
So, I am going to ask something of you.
I need some encouragement.
If you have ever had anything good come from visiting me,
will you leave me a comment and tell me so.

I know it will pass.
But I need it to pass sooner rather than later. :-)

Freshly Made Sketches help.
I love how simple the designs are. You are free to step it up as much as you want,
but they are good simple designs just as they are.
Don't you love that?

Thank you FMS - you helped me today :-)

Freshly Made Sketches #48

I changed it up a little but I think the spirit of the sketch is still there

I used 2-way glue and iridscent ice to go over the embossing folder lines

and I painted our little witch. I love to paint with my aquapainter (dry).
It is my favorite thing to do.

Freshly Made Sketches #47

I have had an idea for this card for some time but just didn't have the right details figured out yet
And then I saw this sketch and thought it would be a perfect fit!
Don't you love it when that happens?

I used the new paper piercing tools to outline the card base and the main panel.
I like the subtle detail but thought it needed just a little something more..

I stamped the steam for the beverage but it was getting lost on the First Edition DSP
So I punched a hole in every other stamped dot.
I love the way it turned out.
Squeeeee!
It is a happy card day :-)

Freshly Made Sketches #46

I am on a Back-to-School kick this week.
Most of what you see in the coming week will be a card for my children on their first day of  school, or a gift for a teacher.
My step-father, having been a teacher for over 20 years, send a monetary gift along with a book to my kid's teachers each year.
I love our Storytime DSP along with the adorable stamp sets that coordinate.
This is the perfect time to reach for these items and create a little something as our children and friends (teachers) return to school.

Supplies:

  • Riding Hood Red CS, Whisper White CS, Storytime DSP
  • Convention Stamp Set
  • Riding Hood Red, Marina Mist, and Wild Wasabi Markers
  • Big Shot, Framelits Labels Collection, Scallop Border Punch, Dimensionals
