Extra post.... Inkspirations Challenge

My routine is off this week. I normally make cards and prepare my blog on the weekend. I went to a birthday party with Joel on Saturday and worked on the blog hop on Sunday. Kids were home from school yesterday (school holiday) and all of my routine is out of whack. I found myself wanting to make a card but I didn't have a day to post.

I found a new Challenge... Inkspirations Challenge.
Challenges are great when you are in a rut or need a little directional push.
Color challenges are difficult for me. I figure it is good to stretch and try things I normally wouldn't. Last week all of my cards were on a Crumb Cake card base, so I think this challenge is a needed thing. LOL!

I used:
Paper: Pretty in Pink CS #100459, Chocolate Chip CS #102128, Whisper White CS #100730, Patterns DSP Stack Brights #117155, Watercolor Paper #122959, Flirtatious Specialty DSP #122360
Stamps: Little Friends #122667
Ink: Pretty in Pink #100045, Chocolate Chip #, Rich Razzleberry #, Baja Breeze #120965, Pear Pizzazz #119801, More Mustard #100076, StazOn #non-SU
Other: Orgaza Ribbon #114319, Button #119747, Bakers Twine #124262, Dimensionals #104430, Aquapainter #103954

Sunday....

This has been a crazy week. I posted a color challenge card on Friday instead of my TGIF card I had planned. I have cards for Step It UP! Saturday but I was on a road trip yesterday with my #1 son getting new bedroom furniture from IKEA. I will post Saturday, I promise.

I normally do scrapbooking Sunday, but it is raining. What does that have to do with scrapbooking? I like to photograph my traditional pages outside. For 8 months that hasn't been a problem with our year long drought, but it has been raining! REAL rain since yesterday and I didn't think I would have to photograph in advance.

I have this fun card I made but haven't posted. There is a story behind it..... A teacher at the junior high told me about this restaurant in town with great burgers. We seldom eat out and I haven't tried a lot of the eateries in our little town. This recommendation came on the heels of my first butting heads with my daughter. So in the wake of all the drama, I wanted some mother daughter time with her. We left the men at home to eat leftovers and we headed to Busy Bear for burgers. Mrs. Kravitz was right they are gooood burgers! Abigail and I had a very nice supper and I made this card to remember all of that by.

The burger was made with punches.... oval, boho blossoms, circle punch. The fries are just strips of paper sent through the crimper. It is a silly card, I know, but I like it just the same.
